The vehicle drives fine when taking off but in any gear it's like it loses its gear and revs up, you let off and away it goes again. It doesn't do it as much the higher you get in the gears. It just strated doing it and it came on very suddenly, no warning just bang and now it's doing it. The oil isn't dark, it's still nice and red and doesn't smell burnt at all. I haven't noticed it in reverse at all either.

Hi,

What you are describing sounds like a line pressure-related issue. If the fluid is full, that is where I would suggest starting. It could be caused by a pressure solenoid or even a partially plugged transmission cooler.

Before starting to disconnect lines and get a gauge, see if there are codes stored in the can-bus.

CAN stands for controller area network. The different modules are tied together via a few wires so they can communicate with each other. If there are any codes stored, regardless of the module storing them, this will retrieve codes.

Here is a link that explains how that is done:

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
