I use a basic key to shut my car door (not remote control).

Usually when I close the drivers' door from outside of the car all of the doors automatically close.

Now the front passenger door does not automatically close when I do this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I just want to confirm a couple things. First, is this the only door that does not still lock automatically? Second, does the door lock do anything like click or make any attempt to lock but just not successful.

Let's clarify this info and go from there because that will change the direction of where we need to go. Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

This is the only door that does not lock automatically.

The door does not do anything like click or make any attempt to lock.

A few days ago surprisingly, all the doors closed automatically when the front driver's door was closed (it was working again).

However, later that day when the front driver's door was closed someone pulled on the passenger door the same time the doors were being locked.

A loud click was heard and the front passenger door was not automatically closed.

Now, the front passenger door does not automatically close when the front driver's door is closed and the door does not make any attempt to lock.

Your help is much appreciated.

Okay. I suspect the actuator is the issue. We need to confirm this by putting a voltage meter on the wiring on the diagram shown and operate the locks. Then as long as you have voltage then the actuator/lock assembly will need to be replaced.

I will keep you updated.

When I have sufficient funds I will allow my mechanic to inspect the door and inform him of your recommendations.

Grateful for your help.
