Is there a way to open my trunk from the inside? I locked keys in trunk and trying to find the emergency latch.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Are the doors unlocked so you get inside the car? If so I suggest removing the rear seat to gain access to the trunk area. After removal you might be able to get your hand in there or fashion some kind of coat hanger hook to fish your keys out. I've attached a picture below for rear seat removal. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hi,

Honestly, if there is no trunk release in the vehicle, you may need to have a dealer remake a key or a locksmith. Based on what model you have, sedan, convertible, coupe, you may be able to remove the rear seat to gain access,

Are you sure there is no trunk release to the left of the steering column?

Joe

Hello,

The trunk release lever should be on the left hand side of the instrument panel. It should allow you to manually open up the trunk, enabling you to get your keys. In the diagrams down below I have included a diagram of the location of the switch and a pinout of the electrical connector for your convenience. Please go through these diagrams and get back to us with how everything turns out. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Alex

Being a 2008 it should have an internal release that allows it to be unlocked if you were inside the trunk. Look at the sides of the rear seats for a loop of material, if you pull that loop it should release the seats so they fold down. I've seen very few that didn't have that option in the 4 door version.
