It is actually called a "trans-axle range switch" and it is located on top of the trans-axle. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Yes, and they go by both names, neutral safety switch and transmission range sensor.

You never mentioned the problem that you are having. Are you having a problem of the starter not working and suspect a bad neutral safety switch (transaxle range sensor)? If so, why not just jump the wires at it first before replacing it to find out if you are correct.
Here is that wiring diagram, it is the yellow wire going in and the yellow/black wire coming out. That earlier diagram of the location I am afraid to say was for a Buick, sorry about that confusion. Here is a look at the correct location.
