1992 Lincoln Town Car Oil leak

1992 Lincoln Town Car V8 151000 miles

My lincoln is leaking oil from what appears to be the oil filter.I have changed the oil and filter and still leaks.I have to add a quart every two or three days. No knocking or lifter sounds. What can cause this?

Take off the oil filter and look at its mating surfaces and wipe it down, make sure the old o ring from the oil filter is gone and the mating surface is clean.

Try tightening it more to see if it stops coming from the filter.
