The other night, after using the Keyless Entry Keypad to lock the doors, the passenger door went into a spasm of locking and unlocking. This lasted for 10-15 minutes and stopped. Slamming the door, manipulating the interior switch had no effect.

Attempting again to lock up with the Keypad prompted another spasm which again resolved on its own. Pulling fuses had no effect.

Battery disconnect clears the problem which can recur spontaneously while driving.

Autolock is ON. Door ajar dash indicator may be burned out.

Try using the fatory code and let me know what happens here's how to find factory code

In vehicles equipped with a Keyless Entry system, you can lock or unlock the vehicle doors and open the trunk without using a key. The system will work with up to four transmitters. The manufacturer provided the computer code that operates the system in three places:

on the owner's wallet card
taped to the right hinge of the trunk lid
taped to the computer module in the trunk

Thanks for your response.

The only code ever used is the factory code.

Since the original posting, I've determined that the Door Ajar sensor is working correctly.

I turned off the Autolock feature. Since that time there has not been a recurrence. This may only be serendipitous as the car hasn't gone all that far in the interim.

I remain suspicious that the door wiring harness may be at fault.
