When I accelerate in my Navigator, the A/C starts blowing through the defrost vents and not the dash. When I let up it will start blowing again through the the dash vents. Why does this happen?

You have a vacuum leak, and it's between the reserve tank and the control head, this is the black vacuum line that runs thru the firewall out to the reserve tank. Or the tank has a hole in it.
