Why does my oil pressure drop and idle only after the car is warmed up?

The colder the steel parts of the engine are the tighter! Oil also reduces in viscosity when warm to the specified number 10w 30 is 10 wieght oil when warm. As the motor warms the parts become looser and the oil gets thinner. Test the pressure by removing the sending unit, install a test gauge and start the engine and take the readings.
