OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR SHOWS INTERMITANT DROP IN PRESSURE WHILE DRIVING. TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES TO RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATING RANGE.

DO I NEED A NEW OIL PUMP? IF SO, iS THIS SOMETHING I CAN INSTALL IN MY GARAGE?

You need to put a mechanical gauge on it to see if it's really a oil pressure problem.
Or if the electrical sending unit is flaking out.

Hey ! Check the cheaper job 1st. Above your exhaust right b4 thee cadillac converter sits an oil pressure sensor. It gets old & leaks on to the exhaust, resulting in a burnt oil smell. Good luck fellow wrencher.
