Limp Mode?

When I went to get into my car this morning, which is a 2 series, but not listed on your list, it would move forward in drive, backwards in reverse, but would not allow any gas to get to it. It wasn't until I turned it off and then back on that it started to work properly. My question is, do I need to have a part cleaned or is this more indicative of a larger problem?

Most of the time this happens because the throttle bore gets dirty, please check out this guide below:
