Lightning hit a tree close to our SUV. Went into the front drivers wheel and out the back passenger wheel back into the concrete to the car next to it. At first the car would not crank and when you opened the drive door the A/C fan would come on with no key. Battery had died out from trying to crank it. We hooked battery charger to it let it charge a couple of hours. And finally the AC quick blowing when you open the door. The next day with battery fully charged the vehicle would crank Headlights, A/C, blinkers, wind shield wipers all worked. With the SUV cranked and you try to accelerate it will not gain rpm's. It basically stays Idle speed maybe just a little bit more. Would it be some kind of acceleration modular?

That is a new one on me. It sounds like the PCM got fried. But to be sure lets start by running the codes to see if the computer will communicate.

Please run down this guide and report back.
