1999 Lexus RX 300 engine light

The engine light just came on in my 1999 lexus RX300 (solid light, not blinking). The only thing I noticed is that at the same time the brakes were not working right. It was very difficult to stop the car. Fortunately, I was just 3 blocks from home when this happened. Could this be a belt problem or something more serious?

Hi there,

get a scan done to read this set fault code, if the brake pedal has gone very hard and the brakes are not efficient the booster may be faulty.
