I have 1992 Lexus ES300 95850 miles and while the car is idiling its has a knocking sound that is comming from the front of the engine it sounds to be coming for one of the front 3cylinder there no water in the oil, no oil leak, doesnt overheat, it just knocks and its gets louder when u raise the rpm's, I had a few people look at it they all say that a maybe one of the pushrods are loose and may need to be changed what u think should I change the rod or have the engine rebuilt. Thanks for any help you can offer me.

If it speeds up and slow down with throttle, it's a wrist pin or a rod bearing problem. Cheaper to run as is! If the noise bothers U that much rebuild the lower end of the engine, then learn how to race!
