I jus recently replaced my factor rims/tires with a set of aftermarket 18'' Rims/tires for my car. I've noticed that ever since I've made this change, The ride isn't as "smooth" as it use to be. I can hear AND feel every "dip" and "bump" in the road. Is this a sign that the suspension in my car is failing? Or is there a type of Tire I can purchase that will eliminate this noise?

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

Normally when using aftermarket wheels, the tires that are used are low profile tires. This on its own will cause a much rougher ride than the stock wheels/tires. Low profile tires are good performance tires and they look good as well, but they are not a comfort tire. Also, 18" wheels are much heavier than the stock wheels which will cause the suspension to work harder and wear out faster.

I am guessing this is your first set of aftermarket wheels? They are much different than stock wheels. That is why there are aftermarket suspenions components to coincide with these heavier wheels.

Hope this helps.
