The left turn signal has stopped working in the front but you can hear it ticking really fast. Then eventually both turn signals stop and I have no brakes. It blows fuse number thirteen. Now, every fuse I put in blows. I have no signals and no brakes. I do tilt the wheel down and my wife tilts the wheel up. Please advise. I am afraid there is going to be an accident.

Hi,

Does it blow as soon as you install the fuse or does it happen when you try to use the brakes or the left signal?

If it happens as soon as you install it, we have a dead short. Meaning, power is going straight to a ground.

Here is what I need you to try. First, disconnect the brake light switch and see if the fuse still blows. I attached a pic below showing the switch and how it ties to fuse 13.

If you look at pic 2, I circled the brake light switch connector which is at the top of the brake pedal. Disconnect it there and see if the fuse still blows.

Here is a link you may find helpful. It discusses how to test wiring.

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,
Joe
