I have two problems. My left hand turn signal is clicking fast and my low beam left headlight is out. First of all are those two problems related in any way? Secondly, I bought a replacement bulb for the headlight and they are telling me it is the wrong one and has to be HID.
Thanks,
Victoria

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Those are two different issues. Now for the bulb, either it has halogen bulbs or xenon bulbs. The only way to be sure which you have is to remove them. I will tell you that to replace a headlamp bulb requires removal of the front bumper fascia. I am going to provide the directions for removal of the fascia so you can access the bulbs and identify them.

First, here are the directions for bulb replacement:

HALOGEN TYPE
FRONT COMBINATION LAMP

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Disconnect the battery negative terminal or the fuse.
1. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to See: Front Bumper > Removal and Replacement > Exploded View.
2. Remove the headlamp mounting bolts and nuts.
3. Remove the mounting stud of the headlamp outside from front fender.
4. Pull out the headlamp assembly forward the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the connector before removing the headlamp assembly.

INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
After installation, perform aiming adjustment. Refer to See: Headlamp > Adjustments > Halogen Type.

Once the bulb is removed, confirm which you have.

Let me know if you have questions.

Jiffy Lube told me I need an HID bulb. Do you know what that is or if that makes any sense to you? I won’t be able to do this replacement myself. Do you think I should take it to Nissan dealer or a mechanic? Thank you

Welcome back:

I totally understand. I can't believe the bumper cover needs removed to replace a bulb. So many are link that anymore. As far as if it's an HID bulb, it could be. However, there are different ones used on these vehicles.

You don't need a dealer to do this. It's a pain, but not all that hard. Any decent mechanic should be able to do it with ease.

Please let me know if you get it taken care of or if you need help. One last thing, it calls for aprox 30 minutes to replace it. So don't let people take advantage. See the pic below. I highlighted the labor as provided by Alldata.

Take care,
Joe

I would like to buy the bulb myself to save money and bring it to mechanic to replace. Is there any way to find out what bulb to purchase without removing the bumper and looking at the old one? I doubt if a mechanic has the bulb I need at his shop.

Welcome back:
'
If you look at pic 1, it shows the HID module. If that is on your vehicle, they are HID.

Now, I looked in another manual and found a totally different set of directions. See if this is something you can do. I will include for both HID and non HID. According to this manual, the bumper cover doesn't need removed and the bulb can be replaced from under the hood.
Make sure to disconnect the battery first.
