Left headlight dim

My left headlight is dim. Things I have tried are replacing bulb, ran a ground wire but it did make it a little brighter but not like the right side and would not shut off, cleaned the relay for daytime running lights and no luck any help would be awesome

Check the voltage on the ground side to see if the ground is any good.

Check the socket as well for corroded terminals.

Make sure there is 12 volts on the power side to the headlight
