When I drive it feels like there is no fuel coming through and seems the car wants to stall. It still drives but get the stalling feeling. It stalled and would not idle until I removed the air filter, once it was removed it idled again. Seems to only happen when the engine is warm. I think maybe air is getting into the engine some how, but not sure what it could be.

If removing the air cleaner lets it run it sounds like there is a restriction in the air-box. If you remove the air filter as a test will the car operate okay? If it does look over the air box and where the air inlet goes. I have seen instances where something like a plastic bag or piece of cardboard got into the inlet area and blocked the airflow. Has the same result on a car as putting your hand over your mouth and nose.
Extra air getting into the engine would cause it to rev higher and not come down to a normal idle speed.

I have cleaned the carburetor and it is still doing that. I also did not notice any paper or plastic in the carburetor.

Does this look like your engine? If yes and it has the same air cleaner housing, check to be sure the temperature flap is opening fully, If it still has the tube going to the fender liner, check all of that for blockage.
