2002 Kia Spectra Dash Lights

The wiper function switch was broke off, then recently brake light stays on, the door ajar light flashes on and off dings while driving it. Someone says because the wiper function switch being broken might have shorted out the lights, I just need some advice as I am limited on funds.

The problems might not be related to the wiper switch breaking off.

Check the brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. If the level is low, the handbrake indicator light would stay lit. If it is the brake lamp failure indicator that is showing, check if any of the brake lights are not working due to a fused bulb.

The door ajar indicator could be due to a faulty door switch or a door that is out of adjustment and intermittently causing the switch to be turned on.
