Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

The first thing I need you to check is the ignition fuse under the hood. It is in the power distribution box. I had a truck last week that did the same thing. Actually, we could not remove the key or take it out of park.

I have attached a picture of the fuse layout. Picture 2 is of the amperage fuse required. These are not the tiny fuses. Look for Ignition fuse A and B. Both are 40 amp fuses. See attached pictures.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,
Joe

Okay, I found the two fuse's, both are good. What is next? This may take a while due to my limited time available to work on my truck, I apologize in advance if I bother you.

Never a bother. Can you tell me if the security light is flashing when you try and crank it over? If so the system needs to be reset. Here is a guide:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken

No security system on my truck. I get no lights on dash, no crank, only blower motor, (if I have blower turned on) when key is turned to accessories.

Can you go to the fuse panel and with a test light see if most of the fuses have power with the key on? Here is a guide to help with the fuse panel locations:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

It sounds like an ignition switch or a fusible link I will walk you through it.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken
