Hello. My Check Engine Light in my Jeep Grand Cherokee has been on for a few months. When I have the code read by an auto parts store, it's been a minor and more recently a major EVAP code. I've replaced the gas cap twice and some of the hoses. The code is then cleared but it comes on again after a day or so. The first time I replaced the gas cap, I had my emmissions test the next day and passed. Additionally, my Jeep lurches in the morning when I accelerate through a turn. This lurching only happens once the entire day but typically every morning. All of my gauges remain at normal levels.

I'm assuming that I'll need to take it to the dealer or other reputable source to determine the issue. Is there anything that I should expect it to be or something else I can look for? Could it be transmission related? I have not had any major issues and keep up with routine maintenance. The transmission fluid replaced 30000-40000 miles ago. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Need to take it to a shop that has the equipment to test EVAP systems for leaks. Doesnt need to be the dealer. Sounds as though it may just have a small leak in a hose, or a solenoid that isnt closing all the way
