the abs light is on and will not shut off allso the front end will not lock in the transfer case will shift but neither side will spin up front

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and it should clear your ABS problem unless you have a bad wheel sensor, or other problem. Have a shop scan it for codes. The trans problem could be a couple of things. The vehicle needs to be put up on a lift, and see if the front drive shaft is turning when its locked in 4wd. If it is turning and the wheels are not, it has a broken inner hub gear on one of the front wheels.
