I changed the transmission in my jeep. Now I don't have any spark. Does the speed sensor on the bell housing have anything to do with spark control?

On the earlier models instead of having a crank or cam sensor they used a Hall Effect sensor on the Bell housing. Somtimes this was located on the drivers side upper part of the bell other times it was on the flywheel inside. The one on the flywheel sometimes just fell off so they moved it to the bell. Hopfully yours is the one on the outside wich is easy to get to. Sometimes it can be knocked out of wack installing and it can be adjusted. It may just need replaced. Let me know if this helps Curt
