95 Grand cherokee orvis edition, 5.2l V8, AWD w/ Auto Tranny. Just replaced the transmission which from a salvage yard not sure if its any good yet, but the jeep ran good before swapping the tranny out and now it won't start, it'll turn over fine, it's getting some fuel but haven't checked pressure, not getting any spark, volt meter on power wires to coil show's.3 to 0 volts so pretty much nothing (digital tester) been reading that the crank position sensor can cause all these and more symptons but is there anything else that might cause this and is it possible to check the crank position sensor before hand? Any idea's or suggestions if it isn't the sensor? Oh and it's factory security can do all this too but i've used the door trick and got the keypad to finally unlock it too but no luck with getting spark

If it ran before the trans was swapped, it should run now. Check your grounds, and make sure all the wiring harnesses are plugged in. You might also try disconnecting the positive battery cable for a couple of minutes to clear any shutdown codes. Are the fuses and the fuel pump relay OK?
