how do I connect an universal gasoline guage, there is a (+, s, - ) is going on a 1949 jeepster.

+ = hot wire from fuse panel, should run in parallel with all the other guages so you are looking for the same color.
- = ground, find a good ground if there wasnt a ground wire.
S = goes to the sending unit in the tank.
