2004 Jeep Liberty taillights

My left taillight does not work I tried a new bulb
when I take the left laillight assembly and plug it into the right side it works

Hi, check fuse 7-- 10 amp, use a testlite, check for voltage on that circuit. Did you check for voltage and ground at the rear? Left side, brown wire with yellow tracer is voltage, black wire with white tracer is ground. The brake and turn, they work on that side?
