Oil pressure gauge shoots to the floor?

Every time I let go of the gas, or come to a stop my oil pressure gauge shoots to the floor. Its got good oli. Good filter, everything is ok with it. What could it be?

Hello,

This could be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor. However you do want to verify that your oil pressure is good.
Check the oil pressure by using a oil pressure test gauge. You should be able to rent the tool from your local auto parts store.
The oil pressure can be checked installing the tool in to the oil pressure sensor port. It is located under the engine next to the oil filter.

This vehicle should have 13 PSI of oil pressure at idle and 37-75 PSI when the engine speed is at or above 1,600 RPMs.
