We have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee; mileage is at 200,000. Aprx. It is an automatic 4wd with 5.2 engine. We have replaced the crank shaft & cam shaft position sensors, The distibutor cap & rotor, the ignition coil, Spark Plugs and wires, fuel filter, Timing chain & gears and have timed it to #1 tdc.
we have spark out of the #1 but it will not crank.
It seems to be getting fuel but will not start. It will turn over but will not start only back fire. Any suggestions would be appreciated our budget is greatly diminishing and we had limited resources to start with. I would greatly appreciate any help.

I hate to tell you Frankie, but it sounds like the timing is off, you may need to adjust distributor 180 degrees, Honest! You cuaght the #1 at exhaust not compression stroke! Thats if the chain went in right!
