My 1999 Jeep Cherokee has a 4.0L engine with 82,0000 miles cranks but won't start. The fuel gage don't register and there is gas in the tank. Also, the volt gage does not move even if power is applied from another vehicle. There is gas being applied to the injector and there is spark at each sparkplug. I also check the fuses and relays and all are good. What else could be the cause of stop my car from starting.

You didn't mention if you've done any work on the engine. I had a similar mystery years ago with a 89 cherokee, but I had removed the exhaust manifold because it was cracked, and in the reinstall process, didn't watch the placement of the TDC sensor wire, which is located at the back of the engine. I'd look for any wires touching the exhaust manifold. Mine was melted to it and shorted out. Once I snapped it off and taped it up. It ran fine. Good luck. John.
