2004 Jeep Cherokee

Had the same 2 problems as well. Have not heard anything about the whistling noise, but do know the problem with the windows. Open the passenger door and find the black rubber boot at the bottom of the door. Pull or pry off the boot from the end connected to the door and more than likely you'll find that the black wire is broken. You can fix it by soldering it together or for a quick temporary fix, strip off the casing from each side of the broken wire and twist together and tape it up with electrical tape. This will last for a little while until it gets soldered. And don't be suprised if the other door has the same problem soon. Hope this helps!
