My 2000 Jeep Cherokee seemed to have a battery problem. It turned over very slowly then fired and ran normally. I assume that the battery was weak and replaced the battery have good voltage. Now it will not turn over at all. Could the problem have been the starter all along?

IT could be the starter or other problems. What I need you to check is this. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. It should have 12+ volts. Let me know what you find.
