Ive had my Jeep since 2001, never really had a problem with it until now. It takes about 5 secs to start up, but starts up everytime. I replaced the starter, but still have the problem. Also it seems once it does start up the RPMs tend to drop below 1000 in idle

YOU MIGHT BE LOSING FUEL PRESSURE WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING WITH ENGINE OFF. THE FUEL PUMP HAS A BACKPRESSURE VALVE THAT KEEPS THE FUEL RAIL PRESSURIZIED. ALSO THE IDLE SHOULD BE ABOUT 650 RPM
