2000 Jeep Cherokee oil pressure drop

2000 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

My oil pressure is dropping at idle I know this could be a few things where should I start?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
