2000 Jeep Cherokee Engine light on!

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has over 153,000 miles. The engine light went on and the code was reading P0763. Manual mentions about shift malfuction. Can you provide more insight on the code # and tell me the right course to take.

Hi there,

Your code' P0763 Shift Solenoid C Electrical is referring to a problem with in the transmission you may be experiencing a problem with the transmission selecting gears, this may only be a faulty solenoid but you will have to get a transmission specialist to investigate this further.
