1999 Jeep Cherokee Low Oil Pressure @ higher RPM

At idle the oil pressure is normal - at higher RPM the pressure drops to almost 0. I had the oil pressure switch replaced but did not help -

Hi:
First, is there any noise from the engine when the pressure drops? Have you had the pressure checked with a mechanical gauge other than the one in the car? If so and it shows almost 0 PSI, the oil pump would be my guess.

Let me know what you find.
