Air Conditioning problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 131K miles

I HAVE A 99 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO, AND THIS IS STRANGE. THE AIR IS COLD AND BLOWS FINE UNTIL I ACCELERATE! WHEN A APPLY PRESSURE TO THE GAS PEDDLE, THE AIR STOPS BLOWING, WHEN I REACH MY DESIRED SPEED AND BACK OFF OF THE GAS THE AIR RETURNS. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN IF INCREASING SPEED A SMALL AMOUNT, BUT FOR EXAMPLE, IF ENTERING THE INTERSTATE OR PASSING A VEHICLE IT HAPPENS EVERYTIME! ANY IDEAS? ITS A V6 AUTOMATIC

Find the vacuum line that comes out of the firewall, this is the supply line, and it goes to a small reserve tank in the engine compartment or under the das, then anothe line goes from the tank to a check valve, then to manifold. If the reserve tank cracks, or the supply line breaks, air will divert to the defrost vents when accelerating. The reserve tank supplies needed vacuum to A/C system during these times! On yours the line is either white, or black.
