We drove the vehicle about 6+ hrs last Friday. It worked fine. After returning the Jeep sat in the garage with a light on. The voltage got down to about 0.1-volt.

I charged it for a day at 2-amps and it returned to abt 12.3-volts. I then tried to start the vehicle. It turned over with great gusto for long times. This is a new battery. I then noticed there was no gas showing on the gas gauge. I added abt 4-gallons. Same result. I then added 6-gallons of new gas and same result. Also, none of the other gauges are working either.

I checked the fuses and those that are transparent were ok. I could not tell if the fuel pump one was good or not as it is a black rectangle.

I figure some relay has not been tripped and maybe the computer has just lost its data or some such.

Can you help.

Thanks

Rick

I bought a 98 Cherokee from my friend and had the same problems except my voltmeter and gas gauge wouldnt work. Check the groundin wire that goes into the fender by the battery and also for any shorts around the battery thats what solved my problem
