1996 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

ok I just rounded up a 96 jeep cherokee sport and the transer case is out I think. It doesnt pull in two wheel drive, but when you lock it in the front wheels will pull just fine. My question is, will an automatic trans transfer case work behind my manual transmission? Any answers will be a big help

No, the auto t/c is a 21 spline the manual is a 23 spline, very hard to find, just replaced mine and cost about 50-100.00 more. Good luck, easy job though, pull the boot to access up top, will make it alot easier.
