I NEED A NEW ALTENAITOR, THE ORIGINAL IS 61AMP. THE CHOICES THAT PARTS HOUSES ARE 80AMP OR 100AMPS. WHAT IS BEST?AND WHOW DOSE THIS AFECT THE CAR COMPONENTS? AND SHOULD I MATCH A BATTERY AT THE SAME TIME IT'S OLD.

Id replace it with a higher amp, 61 is kinda low, you can probably get a new voltage regulator for it.

Itll just charge faster, but you may notice a bit of power lossage when driving slow or idling and running a bunch of components.

Try dealership.
