Air Conditioning problem
1989 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual unknow miles

i have never used my a/c but now it howles. Is there any way to bypass or do I have to replace it. The chilton says dealer only and I think that is bull since I dont want it in the first place. Can I bypass for the serpintine belt to work. I know you make your money off this but im out of work and cant pay much. If I dont have transportation I cant hunt work

Have you tried getting a belt without an AC system? If it was me I'll degut the compressor and get to the bearing and lubricate it if its not too late.
