Having problems with my 88 Cherokee I was hoping you guys could help me out with. For about the past month I have been having a problem with my headlight switch where about once a week, once every other week, I would pull the switch to turn on the lights and only the marker lights and the tail lights would go on. This problem was easily remedied by simply pushing the switch back in and pulling it out again and the lights would go on. Two nights ago this happened to me again and no matter what I did I could not get the headlights to go back on. When I pull it out to the first I can get the marker lights, dashboard lights, and the tail lights on and when I twist it to the left the interior lights come on and when I twist it to the right the dashboard lights dim like usual but I still cannot get the headlights to turn on.
Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the headlight switch. It sounds like it's just worn out and not making contact with the circuits for the headlights. It still makes contact with the park lights but when you pull it all the way out for the headlights, it simply won't make contact. Replace it.
