2002 Jaguar X-Type 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 68, XXX miles

I was driving along and came to a stop, when I went to accelerate my car wouldn't go over 10 mph. The check engine light did not come on. Any Idea what the problem could be? The car starts up fine, It doesnt idle roughly nor does it die when press the gas. It simply wont go over 10 mph. Help please! Thanx!

If it's not slipping-see below:

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging, misfiring etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Start here inspect and test all the items below and get back with some results.

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.
