I've a 2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 with 136K miles. Recently, the transmission started to slip when I turn the AC on. Even with a low speed, it refuses to go if the AC is on. If I turn the AC off, it will get back to normal shifting in few minutes. What do you think is the problem? Is the problem from the AC or the transmission? Jaguar transmission is sealed so I can't even check fluid level.

Thank you

I believe your slipping is solely the transmission. I think it is strictly a coinsidence that it happens with the a/c on. The a/c will put more load on the engine which may be just enough to encourage the slip. The transmission in this model year has not been known for its longevity. There is a way to check the fluid level but it technically reguires a scan tool to observe the fluid temp.
