POWER LOSS

2003 S-Type Jaguar, 38k, 3.0 liter engine

While driving at 70+ miles per hour, we felt a jolt and then the car lost power. We pulled over, put it back in neutral, and the car restarted and we continued home. No warning signs lit-up in the car and nothing is lit now. We were talking and we feel that we had noticed some hesitation earlier when we were driving, too. Any clues?

Check tranny man, sometimes the top gear has splits in it, like ouri 98 had. Also check tranny fluid, maybe its a bit short.
