My rodeo isuzu takes a second to switch from reverse to drive and shut off only once while switching but I haven't driven since a couple hours from then. Also it slips and shudders when making turns and taking off from a stop. It stops slipping after about 6 miles and runs fine. Do you know what would cause these issues and how to fix them?

Hello,

Typically, a transmission will slip due to having low fluid pressure. Which can be due to low on fluid or having a weak oil pump in the transmission. Contaminated fluid can also trigger transmission slip.
As the components warms up the issue tends to get better or go away altogether.

Make sure the transmission fluid is in good condition and at the correct level. Sometimes changing the old fluid and filter can improve the shifting performance.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
