my suv's timeing has jumped how likley is it that I damaged a valve and is there any way to tell other then a pressure test I don't have the tool for the pressure test

Its an interference engine -try using a compression gauge-do you hear any type of noises on the valvetrain-meaning the cylinder head/s

Yes it sound's like a rapid tapping noise on the drivers side top of the engine does that mean it's a bent valve is so how would you fix that

You need to remove the cylinder heads to identify the problems
