Backup Light Switch

My backup lights on my 1994 Isuzu Rodeo 2.6 4-cyl. Manual transmission are no longer working. I was told that it is possibly the backup light switch. Can someone help me on locating the switch and any possible ways of telling if this is the problem? And any additional possiblities?

More than likely this is a fuse issue. You have a fuse in the dash fuse box that is dedicated to the reverse lights.

If this fuse is okay then the back light switch is the next likely issue. This switch is on the side of the transmission and is pictured below.

You can just jump the switch and see if the lights come on and if so, it needs to be replaced.
