Is it possible to swap in a halogen assembly in a car built originally for HID?

I can't find a single replacement HID assembly for the vehicle listed above GS Sport. As far as I understand, there was a trim upgrade option when the original owner purchased the vehicle that included a switch from halogen assemblies to HID.

I'm planning to let the professionals handle the installation and removal process, but they requested I locate the assemblies. There are plenty of them on Ebay and other car part sites, but every single one mentions something akin to "Fourth Gen, Halogen models only"!

Hi,

I don't believe it will work due to differences in voltage requirements.

Here is one that you need I found on Ebay:

I feel you would be able to purchase a new one for less.

Let me know if that is what you are looking for. Also, the HIDs are way more expensive. You may want to mention that to the shop doing the work. Maybe they will have an idea as far as switching them.

Let me know.

Joe
