There are days where the AC blows cold but, I could feel it slowly warming up

Some days I'll drive and it blows cold all the time and there are days where it blows cold but, I could feel it slowly warming up and then getting cold again. Sometimes it only blows warm air. Sometimes if I turn the the A/C off and on it will begin blowing cold. A shop just did an evacuate and recharge and the problems remained that very same day. Any idea what this could be?

Hello,

It sounds like the compressor is going out and losing the high side pressure. Tto tell for sure we would need to connect a set of gauges to check the pressures or feel the large refrigerant tube exiting the firewall to see if it is cold. If it is cold I would replace the ambient temperature sensor.
