instrument cluster replacement

If I want to replace my cluster do I need to have someone set my mileage for me or does the computer remember that when unplugged?

The cluster does a VIN check when the key is turned on. Both the mileage and the VIN have to be correct or you will have problems.

So if I just fix my stock cluster everything will all good when it is plugged back in? Needs stepper motors replaced.

Yep. Get one of the kits available and replace all of them.
